California Condo as a Vacation Rental


In California, the trend of real estate investment is slightly different to  rest of US.
Investors and first time home buyers are  investing in those condos whose property prices bottomed out like foreclosures going for 40% of the market price two years ago.
Those who invest in single detached homes may want to live there. However, those buying condos usually do it either to live there or use it for rental income. They also hope that after this HUGE market correction, the value of their home or condo will increase in a couple of years.  
A lot of condo owners are not just renting their condos for a long lease term. Some of them do vacation rentals too! You will read a lot of ads for California Condo homes as vacation rentals. Especially if the condo is not far from the beach especially in Southern California.
Private  California Condos offer considerably more space than a tourist will find in the typical hotel room. They are available at a comparatively much more affordable and reduced cost. A two month stay can cost you 8 – 10  K for the two to three room condo with kitchen, deck and all the community facilities compared to $200 a night for a single room at a normal hotel! 
These private California condos homes offer excellent flexibility to the customers. Unlike a typical hotel room, most private vacation rentals include kitchen facilities also, this gives you the comfort of a house and you can cook and eat what ever you want any time.
There is no compulsion to eat out. Vacation rental homes often contain many personal and convenience items that will increase the comfort of the guest and make them feel quite at home.
A very big difference between a vacation California condos and a hotel room is that the locals are often able to provide you information about the area that they would know like hot deals at restaurants or things to do!
Renting a condo as a vacation rental home is affordable and gives more flexibility.
Families can have a vacation together and still have room to breathe without the price of a SUITE at a beachfront hotel. It is a win win situation for those letting out and those choosing to rent the vacation homes.
Since the climate in Southern California is pretty mild, the chances of getting a vacation rental during summer maybe hard. So, a tourist may have to book in advance. Winter is the low season though. These vacation condos are also popular with students who are looking for temporary accommodation near their universities without a long lease.
