Located in Riverside County, California, United States, Temecula is a city that was incorporated on December 1 1989. With a population of just over 100,000, Temecula is a city that is bordered by Murrieta on the northwest and the Pechanga Indian Reservation on the south. Temecula is close to Los Angeles, San Diego, and Orange County in California.
It is also home to many families of the military located in the nearby reserves. Many residents of the city consider themselves to be living in one of the suburbs of the three urban areas.
Temecula the city has seen rapid growth since 1990, when many families began to move into the city from San Diego and Orange County because of the affordable cost of housing.
This rapid expansion also saw an increase in the prices of real estate, which was constant until the subprime crises took over the market. Foreclosures and abandoned properties became a common sight in the Temecula and Murrieta regions, which were affected by the housing market correction that followed.
Temecula is known for its wine and valley balloon festivals along with the numerous golf courses that it has. The city rich and historical sites coupled with fine dining and a weekly farmer’s market, which is well known.
There are more than six hundred dealers in antiques that provide attraction to visitors. Other forms of entertainment include the Pechanga Resort and Casino, which provide a variety of avenues for entertainment.
