The Renovation

This historic Chateau is being meticulously restored by a long established UK based developer. Every detail is being painstakingly reworked in accordance with the French regulations for historic buildings, including the solid wood panelled library complete with Harry Potter style secret staircase to the upper shelves. During our latest visit, over 4 tonnes of books were delivered to stock the library and it’s easy to imagine the completed setting with the sound of turning pages and a ticking clock.

You can see from the photos that work is well underway with completion scheduled for Easter 2009. The reception is grandiose in design with warm stonework and rolling staircases. From here you take the stairs to the rooms to find them complete with large windows and plush curtains. Not to mention the large beds and beautiful bathrooms, some with ball and claw baths.

Also being refurbished is the beautiful restaurant and bar overlooking the grounds and of course the stunning indoor swim and spa facilities. New gym equipment is on it’s way to help you burn a few calories while you’re there.
