An incredible five-bedroomed 18th century town house on three floors, space, and an enclosed courtyard pool.Apart from the current colour schemes which might not suit everyone, this is an amazingly spacious town house, in the cente of Milhaud just outside of Nimes, with only 15 minutes to the airport to the east along the motorway, and some 30 minutes to the beaches.Since it was built, the house is the amalgamation of several town houses and a town farmhouse, the entrance now being through what used to be farmyard entrance. The entrance gives into large 18 m2 room, with sliding lass doors into the house's courtyard. From here, access is either to the upper floors or, through a small corridor off which there is a toilet, into the main room.The main room is some 45m2 in all, has again the sliding doors into the courtyard as well as a large open fireplace, incorporating what could be used as a dining room. Off this second part of the room, acces is to a hall giving again access to the upper floors, and to the outside enclosed courtyard capable or accommodating three of four cars depending on their size. The hall also leads to the kitchen, from which one can access four good-sized store rooms, currently used to house the oil boiler, the wash room, cave, and wine cellar.Gaining access to the first floor from the stairs near to the main entrance, there is a bedroom with an en-suite shower room to the left. To the right, there is a large 24m2 room last used as a study, from which ther eis the only access to the second floor. Access from this room is then to a secopnd bedroom, from there a 'his'n hers' dressing room and, along a short corridor, a bathroom (and toilet). The corridor provides access, if needed, back to the ground foor and into the rear downstairs hall by the kitchen, but also gives access to a most wonderful 50m2 stone walled room which includes a 24m2 mezzanine.The second floor provides for three bedrooms (20, 12 and 18 m2) , two of which have built in cupboards, and a sparate bathroom (and toilet).The inner courtyard can be accessed from any of the sliding glass doors in the main entrance, the main room or the kitchen's breakfast area, which courtyard includes a respectfully size pool. The whole property, being entirely enclosed, is secure and, facing southish, is always light and bright.Having extolled the property's virtues, any prospective buyer may need to consider redecorating as the colour shceme might not suit all, but what with tile flooring on the ground floor, new parquet floors on the upper floors, and new electrics throughout, no further internal works seem to be a requisite. As to the external courtyard and the four store rooms, these could, in all fairness, do with a little facelifting.The town of Milhaud is inhabited by a balanced composition of people (46% over the age of 40), it having become one of the first residential towns for Nimes. The town is on the 'via Domitia', an old roman road contstructed 118BC to link Italy to Spain whilst transiting old Gaule.This property offers many possibilities, not only due to its accomodation and 'lock up and leave' aspect, but also due to the rich area in which it is, its access to beaches, Nimes itself, and its proximity and extreme ease of access to the airport the other side of Nimes.
