Welcome to Navarre, Florida

Founded in 1925 by Col. Guy H.Wyman, a retired U.S. Army engineer, Navarre was named for his wife, Noel's, favorite province in Northern Spain, Navarro. In the early 60s, Navarre became a popular destination with the construction of the Navarre Beach bridge. Since then, we've added a bike bath that travels an almost 15-mile route from Navarre Beach to Pensacola Beach. Navarre has a beautiful state park which is currently being reclaimed by the County of Santa Rosa. You'll enjoy picnic tables, public parking, and camping.

Navarre is well known for its national park, eight miles of sugar-white sandy beach on Santa Rosa Island. The park is situated between the Gulf of Mexico and Santa Rosa Sound (the intercoastal waterway). There are three large bodies of water surrounding Navarre: Gulf of Mexico, Santa Rosa Sound, and Escambia Bay. Navarre boasts more waterfront neighbhorhoods with amentities than you can count. Santa Rosa County's population has more than doubled over the past ten years!!!!
