Move To a Rented Condo in Atlanta

Atlanta condos are doing well not only in sales but also in the rental market. Like rental units everywhere, condos in Atlanta vary tremendously in terms of price and quality. If you're planning to relocate to Atlanta, a little bit of detective work will ensure you the best deal in the area.
While owing your own Atlanta condo is always a better option, it also involves a lot of responsibilities that might be too much to take on at this point in your life. Home ownership entails a great deal of responsibility, including any and all maintenance as well as property taxes. Those who rent Atlanta condos don't have to deal with those issues. There is also the matter of mobility. Despite the fact that many Atlanta condos require six or twelve month leases, many actually do rent by the month, or even weekly. Should you need to pack up and move it is much easier and less expensive to leave a rented condo than a house which you must list through a realtor and try to sell in an uncertain market which could take months.
The basic rule of thumb is that if you're planning to stay in the area for five years or less, it makes more economic sense to rent one of the many Atlanta condos. Like any large metropolitan area, the rent on Atlanta condos depends on many factors such as the size and number of bedrooms, distance from city centre and the quality of the neighbourhood.
There are many advantages of Atlanta apartment living as opposed to home ownership. These range from financial advantages, to convenience, to cultural.
One major advantage is that you do not to have to sign a home mortgage and then make payments for the length of the mortgage. Most Atlanta complexes require a year lease but you might be able to work out a shorter lease with the Atlanta condo agent. This can be especially helpful to students or young professionals who are just entering their careers and need to be more flexible with their relocation options. Atlanta condo leases have a shorter term commitment leaving you with more freedom and mobility.
Another advantage of living in a rented Atlanta condo is the lower utilities, as compared to the utilities you would have for a house. Atlanta condos have little wasted space and therefore less square footage to heat or cool. Some condominium apartments come with some or all utilities paid, so make sure to ask about this when checking into different Atlanta condos. A cable connection often comes with Atlanta condos, and appliances more often than not come with Atlanta condos. This may also include a washer /dryer, or the washers and dryers may be located in a special room somewhere on the Atlanta apartment complex grounds for use by all tenants. This is much more convenient than driving to a laundromat.
With so many good reasons to rent an Atlanta condo, your dream move to Atlanta has now become easier, faster and more affordable.
