Chicago Real Estate has an average of over 100,000 real estate listings. There are different styles of Chicago condos available for sale in the real estate market of Chicago. Among them are apartment style condos, town house style condos, hotel type condos, villa style condos and single family home type of condos.

In the apartment style Chicago condos you can get roof top decks, duplexes, lofts pent houses of even multilevel apartments. These types of condominiums also include two, three and four flat walk ups. The condos are also available in mid as well as high rises. Apart from the styles of Chicago condominiums one can choose their homes in different locality according to ones needs.

Another type of Chicago condo unit is townhouse style. These generally multi level property and includes features like roof top decks and full basements. The most common feature of townhouse condos is that these condos are aligned side by side in a row. Every nit has windows in the front as well as at the back. Another type of Chicago condos for sale is via type also known as retirement villas or bungalow townhouses. These are typically single story units attached like side by side duplexes. Sometimes the Homeowners association restrict the age of the residence owners.
There is also single family homes or bare land condos. These types of Chicago condos are residential sub divisions under condominium corporation managements. Here the ownership of real estate property includes ownership of actual land and building. The management provides the services and amenities to the residing community of certain sub division.

The owners of a Chicago condominium are responsible for the maintenance and repairs of their own units. But the common areas of the building are managed and maintained by the homeowners’ association usually known as the Condo association. The association and its members collectively hold the responsibility of maintaining and preventing disrepair to building mechanics like elevators, central HVAC, and common area electrical systems. Condo Association is responsible for landscaping, exterior maintenance and general upkeep of Chicago condominiums.

The individual unit owners of these Chicago condominiums don't have to bother unless there is a significant repair is necessary to be done; the association members share these major expenses. So before you purchase a Chicago condo make sure to see beforehand the responsibilities, services and amenities provided by condo association.
