Las Vegas condos have been on the rise; both in popularity and elevation. While many people assume that the strip has high rise casinos and the outskirts have the gated condominiums, which are false assumptions. There are many reasons for the rise in high rise condos. The old days of discount buffets and cheap shows on the strip have passed. The city has seen its share of images that are portrayed to the rest of the country, but in the end, Vegas is Vegas. Many people do not know what Vegas really is, however. More than the strip, there are many new condos around that are getting the whole Las Vegas on the map. Las Vegas condos are quickly making their way into the spotlight and becoming a part of the Vegas that people want to invest in.
The reasons for the vertical rise in Las Vegas condos extend beyond that of the demand for luxury. In fact, many physical factors play a part in the popularity of high rise Las Vegas condos. There is a barrier set around Las Vegas, which prevents any development from extending beyond it. The barrier was put in place to protect desert plant life and wild life such as the desert tortoise as well as to leave room for government facilities such as military bases etc.
On the strip itself, there is only so much room and land that can see new buildings being built. Why else would they destroy the Sands? Space. Developers need to build upwards to maximize what they can sell on their dirt. Because there is only so much space in Las Vegas to work with, the land has become very expensive. However, this does not mean that the condos themselves have become expensive. In fact, condos for sale are generally less than people expect, because not as much valuable land had to be used in the process of building.
There are other factors that make Las Vegas condos so popular. For one, averages of 8,000 people relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada every month. This in itself attracts people to look at condos for sale, if even just to get the idea in their heads. Condo hotel units allow an owner to use their condo part time and generate nightly rentals on it when not in town. In addition, homeowners continue to not want to take care of a yard and/or the typical single family home responsibilities and many owners want amenity rich neighborhoods for convenience. As it is becoming more popular to get into Las Vegas condos, even famous celebrities are buying into the condos to have a place to visit over the weekend.
