New Jersey Condos Compliment Train Stations
New condos are being developed in the New Jersey community of Denville to bolster the local economy and bring new residents to the area. A 119-unit complex of condominiums near Denville's NJ Transit train station would require rezoning, but would compliment the community's business district and encourage the use of public transportation. New Jersey condos have been known to bring new residents to otherwise removed areas, creating more connected communities.
A major developer is now bringing townhouse style condominiums to a 16-acre plot a short walk away from the transit station and local businesses. The complex of New Jersey condominiums would neighbor the train station, offering a gazebo for residents to wait under when they commute rather than standing on the busy train platform. Just like many other New Jersey condos for sale, the new complex of condominiums is close to all local amenities. The new condos will be within a half mile radius of routes 80, 53 and 46. The condos will also be a 12 minute walk from the business district, with retail shops. The closeness to the train station also makes the condominiums good for working people who don't want to drive. New Jersey condominiums are beneficial to walkers and commuters.
There are currently only three houses on the 16 acre site where the new condos will be built, s long as the proposal goes through. Town officials say the plot is zoned for single family homes on no fewer than two acres of land per home. Some of the amenities the New Jersey condominiums developers plan to include in the project are trees, sidewalks, bicycle racks and possibly a second outlet to Lackawanna Avenue. These features also make these New Jersey condominiums appealing to those who would rather walk and take public transportation than crowd the freeways and add to pollution. The condominiums developers also aided the New Jersey borough of Metuchen with new condos when they were designated as a transit village in 2003.
Getting the distinction of a transit village is beneficial to communities, because they get more state funding that way. New Jersey condominiums in a Morristown complex of 218 units are being built adjacent to an NJ Transit parking lot. A plan for 201 new condos in the New Jersey borough of Netcong was also recently approved for a 13 acre plot near another NJ Transit station. New Jersey condominiums and train stations seem to compliment each other quite nicely. Other New Jersey boroughs are pursuing projects for new condos and retail space near train stations, though not designated as transit villages. Dover is just one community that has a redevelopment plan and potential projects within walking distance of its NJ Transit station.
