The Difference Between Dallas Condos and Apartments


People who own Dallas condos have far more advantages to enjoy than people who live in apartments, but there are some additional differences they should be in store for. Purchasing Dallas condos gives people title to their units, and they jointly own the common areas of the property with other condo owners. Unlike apartments, people who live in Dallas condos own the space that lies within those four walls, and they can enjoy the equity that builds within them. Common areas of Dallas condos include walkways, lobbies, swimming pools, fitness centers and parking structures.

Living in Dallas condos does requires paying monthly homeowners' association fees, but these ensure that condo residents will never have to spend their own time keeping up the common areas. Homeowners' association fees, or HOA fees, may cover the water, heat, maintenance of common grounds, and insurance on the common areas.
